Common Questions

How do I reset my password?

On the login screen, click "Forgot password?" and enter your email. We'll send you a reset link.

How do I delete my account?

You can delete your account directly from the app — no email needed:

  1. Open the app and go to Settings (gear icon in the bottom navigation)
  2. Scroll to the bottom of the Settings screen
  3. Tap Delete Account in the red Danger Zone section
  4. Confirm the deletion in the dialog

Your account and all associated data (posts, comments, votes, chat history) will be permanently deleted immediately. This cannot be undone.

If you have trouble accessing the app, email hello@usecurrent.app with your username or email address and we'll delete your account manually.

How do tags/streams work?

When you create a post, add tags (e.g., #tech, #books). Your post appears in all tagged streams. Others can bookmark streams they care about to follow specific topics.

Can I edit or delete my posts?

Yes! Tap the three-dot menu on your own posts to edit or delete them.

How does voting work?

Upvote posts you find valuable (👍). Downvote if something doesn't belong (👎). Your vote is private and helps surface better content.

Is Current free?

Yes. No ads, no paywalls, no tricks.

What's your content policy?

We allow honest, difficult conversations—including sensitive topics like relationships, identity, and desire. But we don't tolerate harassment, threats, spam, or illegal content.

I found a bug. Where do I report it?

Email hello@usecurrent.app with:

  • What you were doing
  • What happened vs. what you expected
  • Device type (iPhone, web browser, etc.)

Technical Issues

The app won't load

  1. Check your internet connection
  2. Force quit and reopen the app
  3. If the issue persists, email us

I'm not receiving the password reset email

  1. Check your spam/junk folder
  2. Wait a few minutes (it can take up to 5 minutes)
  3. Try again with the correct email
  4. Still nothing? Email hello@usecurrent.app

My feed isn't updating

Try pulling down to refresh. If that doesn't work, force quit and reopen the app.


Account Deletion

You have the right to permanently delete your Current account at any time. Here's how:

Step-by-step instructions

  1. Open the Current app on your device
  2. Tap the Settings icon (gear ⚙️) in the bottom navigation bar
  3. Scroll to the very bottom of the Settings screen
  4. Look for the red Danger Zone section
  5. Tap Delete Account
  6. Read the confirmation message, then tap Delete Account in the dialog to confirm

Your account is deleted immediately. You will be logged out and all your data — including posts, comments, votes, bookmarks, and chat history — will be permanently removed.

This action cannot be undone. If you're unsure, you can simply log out instead.

What gets deleted

  • Your profile (username, email, password)
  • All posts and comments you've written
  • Your votes and tag bookmarks
  • Chat threads and messages
  • Notifications
